For those who dread the thought of sitting down with their bills, checkbook, envelopes, and stamps every month, SmartPay will give you freedom from these tasks! With SmartPay, you use your computer to pay your bills. All you need is internet access to Netlink and a BHFCU checking account. There is no enrollment fee and you can pay up to 15 bills per month for FREE! After 15 bills, each additional bill costs just $.40, less than the cost of a stamp!

How does SmartPay work?  You enter the name and address of the person you want to pay, the date you want the bill paid, the amount, and some reference information like the account number on the bill.  The system automatically generates and mails a check on the day you picked.  You can use the system to send a payment to anyone, not just merchants or vendors.  You can even try it for free and send yourself a check!

With SmartPay you are in control. You can set up your payments as either recurring (same day of the month for the same amount) or one-time only (varying amounts). You select the date for your payments to be processed and SmartPay will send the check! A few clicks and you are done paying bills for the month!

What if one of my merchants does not accept electronic payments?
  If the merchant does not have an agreement to accept electronic payments, the system will mail them a check. Electronic payments take about 4 business days from the day they are submitted until they reach the merchant. Payments sent by check will take about 10 days from the day they are submitted until they reach the merchant. Funds will be deducted from your checking account on the business day that you selected for your payments.

Is SmartPay right for me? SmartPay is the perfect service for those who are short on time, prefer not to spend their time writing bills, and those who can count on money in their account when the electronic withdrawal is made.

How do I sign up? To register online, sign into Netlink and click on SmartPay. Simply complete the electronic bill payment registration form and you'll be on your way to an easier lifestyle!

Important Notes:

  • The maximum amount for each SmartPay payment is $9,999.99; however, there is no minimum.
  • Recurring payments scheduled on a weekend will be processed on the Friday before the weekend.
  • One-time payments scheduled for a weekend will be processed on the following business day.
  • Payments may be cancelled by 4:00 p.m. MST on the same day they are entered. Canceling a payment after the processing date will result in a stop payment fee of $15.00. Electronic payments cannot be cancelled.
