Cross Member Transfers
Use Netlink or Quick Teller to transfer money into other memberships
As a member of Black Hills Federal Credit Union, you have the ability to move money from your BHFCU membership accounts into accounts of other members of BHFCU using Netlink or Quick Teller. Cross Member Transfers are different from normal transfers, which happen within your membership.
Common examples of Cross Member Transfers are:
- Transfer money from your membership into a son or daughter's account, where the son or daughter has their own membership
- Transfer money from your business membership to your personal membership
- Make a loan payment for another person in your care
Because this type of transfer gives you access to someone else's membership, the person you want to transfer money to will need to authorize the transfer setup. To do so, the person you will be transferring funds to needs to stop by any Black Hills Federal Credit Union location, and ask to set up a Cross Member Transfer. That person will need to know your member number and have a valid ID.
To set up two-way Cross Member Transfers (where both of you can transfer money into each other's membership accounts), you will both need to stop in and fill out the authorization forms.
One important note: Cross Member Transfers do not allow you to pull money from someone else's account into your membership. It allows you to put money from your membership into someone else's membership account.
There is no fee to do a Cross Member Transfer.
