20 – 26 hours per week

ACH Origination Specialist – Rapid City location
Black Hills Federal Credit Union is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of ACH Origination Specialist. The individual selected for this position will be responsible for initiating ACH entries into the payment systems according to the arrangement between a member and an organization.
Duties include:
- Assisting with marketing our ACH program to our members by visiting with them at their places of business
- Posting employer payroll direct deposits
- Uploading and posting the ACH transactions from the Federal Reserve daily
- Initiating and implementing direct deposit authorization/origination forms
- Assisting with Federal Reserve computer communications as needed, including transmitting wires and running daily reports
The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of all ACH regulations, including changes and additions. Excellent communication skills and computer proficiency are desired.
The regular schedule for this position will be 8:00 to 5:00 Monday through Friday. The person selected also needs to be available to work 6:45 am to 3:45 pm Monday through Friday when necessary.
This position requires a two-year college level of language, math, and reasoning skills. One to two years experience in a related field with equal responsibilities is acceptable.

Full Time Business Lender – Rapid City location
Black Hills Federal Credit Union is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Business Lender. Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
• Interviews loan applicants, collects, and analyzes financial and related data to determine general credit worthiness of the loan applicant and the merits of the specific loan request;
• Establishes and negotiates terms under which credit will be extended, including costs, repayment method and schedule and collateral requirements;
• Collects and analyzes information which reflects current credit worthiness of members and current merits of existing loans;
• Approves loans within personal loan authority and otherwise presents loans for approval to senior lenders or loan committees, as required;
• Monitors loan repayment activities and takes necessary action to collect from past due accounts;
• Develops new business by contacting prospects and members and participates in the lender call program;
• Adheres to member service standards to ensure that inquiries are handled in a prompt, efficient, and courteous manner;
• Participates in community affairs to increase the credit union’s visibility and to enhance new business opportunities.
Qualifications include:
The ideal candidate will have a degree in business, finance, or accounting. The satisfactory completion of college level course work in, but not necessary limited to, general business, finance, accounting, and marketing is acceptable. Two to five years direct experience in business lending is required.
